Dr. Himanshu Gupta

Dr. Gupta is a Toronto-born physician specializing in Neurology and Pain Medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western University and earned his medical degree at McMaster University. He subsequently completed his Adult Neurology residency at McMaster, followed by a two-year Royal College–accredited fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Gupta is triple board-certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both Neurology and Pain Medicine, and by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

He is committed to advancing the field of pain medicine and has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. Throughout his training, he held several leadership roles at McMaster University, the University of Toronto, and within national organizations dedicated to improving chronic pain care.

Dr. Gupta has a strong clinical interest in the treatment of spine-related pain, headache and craniofacial pain, joint and musculoskeletal pain, and neuropathic pain. He takes an individualized and comprehensive approach to patient care, focusing not only on symptom relief but also on improving function and quality of life. His practice includes medication optimization, pain neuroscience education, and image-guided interventional procedures. Interventional treatment options include steroids, viscosupplementation, platelet-rich plasma, Botox, nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation.

He holds a Clinical Associate appointment at both the University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospital and provides neurology services at Michael Garron Hospital.
